1. Anica has a membership to the South American Explorers club. They recommend visiting the prisoner. Perhaps stories can be incorporated into the film? Spread of HIV/AIDS in jail? Anica will check about bringing recording equipment.
2. South American Explorer Club - has clubhouse in Quito - phone calls, film showings, take group trips, evening activities, network opportunities abound. will store stuff for people. Meredith also suggested Blacksheep Inn, contacts with local artists.
3. Amy Clay - Meredith will contact.
4. Equipmental rental from the Detroit Film Center an option - boom pole, audio equipment
- Sat 22nd - Equipment & Interview workshop
- at the LV cabin, by the river
- we'll go canoing, have some beers/fun
5. We haven't heard back from IH. Maybe late April. II also offers mini-grants, film screenings. Quito Project has some money for screenings, dvd production. We're counting on 2k from QP.
As for the II grant - project related expenses, won't have money in hand until May. $2000. Transportation? $500 - $1000 to project budget. Will apply mostly to Anica's travel expenses.
Ginsberg - $200 for project, $1000 will come in installments
Multicultural Affairs - discretionary funds should go our way, funding possibilties there.
